Pack Your Peace!

My peace is my power! As we talk this week about taking our Mommy Moments I want you to think about what it is you find peace in. I once thought that peace was something far off, too far for me to reach. I mean, there is always something going on. 2020 has shown us to expect the unexpected! I have a busy life and at times my peace escapes me. I realized that the only person allowing my peace to fall to the wayside was me! Ain’t that some truth for me and you! When I started #MommyNeedsAMoment I … Continue reading Pack Your Peace!

The Early Bird Gets The Worm!

During quarantine I have been working from home. With the kids out of school I don’t necessarily have to be up early I can sleep in as long as I get my work for the day complete, or so I thought. Prior to COVID I was an early riser 5am to start my day, as we settled into the new normal I began to sleep in later first 6:30, then 8:30, one day I slept in until 11am. This is not normal for me. I like to get up and get started. As I noticed my sleep pattern change I … Continue reading The Early Bird Gets The Worm!

All You Need to Know About Self-care

The area I was lacking in teaching them was that their mom needed to take care of herself too. Moms we truly have to practice what we preach. I can’t … Continue reading All You Need to Know About Self-care

Guilty As Charged!

I will be the first to admit I am not a perfect mom! I make mistakes, I yell, I am a workaholic. There are many times when I lose my patience, I have no clue how to do new math and I basically wing it when it comes to recipes and what not. I can admit these things to myself and have no problem. When someone else points them out, well that’s a different story. No one wants others to point out to them they are not doing their best, or that people notice they are not doing their best. … Continue reading Guilty As Charged!

Being Nanekia: God Is…

Today’s post was supposed to continue my journey into feminine health, but when He speaks you listen so here we go. If you follow me on social media then you know my sister and I revealed our Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer. Our family received this diagnosis as cities began to quarantine and our new normal began to take structure. This isn’t our family’s first fight with cancer, my mom is a two time cancer survivor. Our family’s response has always been to fight.  This trip around is different, our access to each other as a family has been … Continue reading Being Nanekia: God Is…
